OOC: Moonglow Shrine Library
The Moonglow Shrine is an ideal IC place for a character to learn about many of the religious, magical and mythological things on the wiki. The information contained in the wiki about the Goddesses, Myths, Locations and magic of the island are all located within the shrine.

Moonglow Shrine is a temple mainly to the Goddess Tsuki with minor dedication to Tenteisei in the western portion of Yuriba beyond the village. The temple is located within an area of yami no matsui, a tremendous forest of the dark pine that stretches from the western side of the foothills all around the west half of Akibimi.

The shrine traces its origins back to the Lilian civilization that flourished thousands of years ago. Badly damaged in the earthquakes that wiped out the Lilians, the shrine was lost in the shadowed forest for ages, with the black pine forest serving as a powerful natural deterrent for explorers. The shrine was originally discovered in its ruined state by Hokuto Sumeragi shortly after her arrival on the island in 2006, but her desire to restore the shrine and reside as its caretaker did not come until the summer of 2007, calling it the 'Starlight Shrine'. Considered only a partial restoration by the shrine's new caretaker, Melanie, a priestess of Tsuki, the temple has since undergone a great deal of change, returning it to greater dedication to Tsuki and turning it to more of a proper place of worship for the Lonely Moon.

The Moonglow Shrine now serves as both a temple to Tsuki and a library and repository of knowledge of the island of Yuriba in mythological and religious manners. The library at the shrine boasts the largest public collection of texts relation to Yuriban Animism on the island, though it's focus as the main feature of the shrine has been minimized. The recent discovery of a stone circle which seems largely tied to the Sky Watchers within the forest near the shrine has lead to a bit more devotion to Tenteisei within the Moonglow Shrine, though this is largely symbolic.
