Miyoko was an arrival to Yuriba in late March of 2007.
Physical Description
Miyoko is a bit taller than your average asian, standing at 5'6". Her long, smooth hair can usually be found tied up into a simple ponytail ending at about her shoulderblades. Her skin is lightly tanned (due to studying abroad) and is marked by a few beauty marks here and there. Figure wise, some may judge her to be fairly thin but not in an unhealthy way. Although she rarely exercises, she is somehow able maintain her hourglass shape and fairly flat stomach. When she can be seen with a bit less covering her body, a small tattoo reveals itself on her lower back.
Personality
Her studious life before arriving in Yuriba did not allow for her social skills to evolve much. Especially around large groups of people and strangers, Miyoko tended to remain fairly quiet, only speaking when spoken to if at all. Although this made her seem anti-social, it was mostly due to her nervousness in social situations and lack of self-confidence. Once she did get to know someone she opened up a bit, able to converse easier, although still remaining slightly reserved.
Pre-Yuriba History
Born as the eldest of 3, Miyoko had taken it upon herself to be the best that she could be to help out her family. Up through middle school, she had a keen mind for math and a love for science. Her parents helped to support her in what way they could (private schools, academic encouragement, etc) though, to her, being there was all the support she needed. Towards the end of her high school career, her love of math and the sciences led her to seek out a future as an engineer. At the same time, she hoped that she could use the money that she earned to help support her siblings as well as her parents. Thus she decided to study abroad on the tropical Hawaiian Islands to pursue her career and still be able to remain fairly close to home. This was where a new chapter of her life began. As she was exploring her new neighborhood one day, she turned a street corner and suddenly found herself on a completely alien road... on the island of Yuriba.
