Yuriba (village)

The village of Yuriba was established in 2002 by Phil-chan. Clustered around the delta of the Yuriba River in the south-eastern corner of the island, the village expanded from its early form as little more than a tree house, the Hot Spring and the Pixie's Pride Inn all located near the Village Center to a larger network with four major streets in the village proper. The expansion to four roads is only the most recent of at least three that have occurred as the village's population boomed under steady immigration. The Anniversary Festival in March is a celebration of the village's founding.

Three of these roads, White Lily Road, Sand Lily Road, and Tiger Lily Road run north to the south while the forth, Lily of the Valley Lane runs east to west. There are other roads, such as the ones in the Yuriba Forest and on Maboroshi but, strictly speaking, these are not part of the village proper. (Although residents of these areas are generally considered to be part of the society of the village.) The central area of town, where nearly all of the stores and businesses of Yuriba are located is, unsurprisingly, often referred to as the "Business District" or "Commercial District". In early years, this area did sometimes house residential homes, but these days the only thing close to such is the Riverview Apartments.
