... I still don't like it much, because it kind of conflates science (investigation into the workings of the universe) with technology (application of knowledge of the workings of the universe). But I'm not really sure what else to do. --Sparta (talk) 02:15, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, I have to agree. Also, I'd somewhat question 'many' - while there's certainly some (Genesis, the OS-tans, Kula), beyond those uh, half dozen or so, it's pretty rare. I'm not sure it's necessarily a wrong term, but it seems mildly misleading.
Science and techonogly probably should be seperated out anyway. There's certainly native sciences, if one is willing to look backwards as well as forwards. (Herbalism/Botany, wouldn't be suprised if Astronomy and tracking of eclipses and lunar cycles is major, etc.) --breisleach 03:02, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
