Clear Spring

The pool of water commonly refered to as the Clear Spring gains it's name from both from it's unusual clarity, and because of it's unique effects even amongst the various sources commonly linked to Jusenkyou: It removes (that is to say, clears) the effects of the many other springs from the person of the one who enters it, rather than applying a new and different one. This has been shown to include locking effects but waterproofing will still block it as any other.

Folklore

This pool presents something of a curious puzzle to those immigrants who have become somewhat familiar with local Yuriban religious beliefs; The effects wrought by the various pools are considered to be blessings of the goddesses, and yet this one pool which strips away those blessings, rather than being reviled, resides within a small and abandoned (yet obviously looked after) shrine, beneath a statue of The Lady.
