Sera Vale considered herself a fairly boring, ordinary girl who went on a cruise with her family in the Pacific, in early February 2017. At some point she found herself having gone overboard and washed up on the shores of Yuriba. After nearly a decade she has finally begun to feel like she is establishing herself, and in 2026 started experimenting with forms other than wolfgirl in which she has spent most of her time so far.

Description

(From in game desc) Sera is a bit of an odd young woman who seems to alternate between states of excitement and embarrassment. It is not unusual to see her face tinged with pink or even red. When standing straight she measures at just over five-and-a-half feet tall, if you don't include the auburn wolf ears resting on top of her head which add a few extra inches.

Her fair skin is marked by the occasional freckle, with a few clustered a bit more closely on her face, mostly centered on her cheeks and nose. A bit on the large side, her eyes provide contrast to her lips which appear comparatively thin, and all of which frames her slightly rounded nose. A few, slightly pointier teeth are visible when she smiles.

Her dark brown hair has recently been styled. It is parted on the right and her bangs swept across her forehead to the left, just above her brow. It has been recently cut to hang above her shoulders, and layered to catch and draw the eye. The tips of her hair have been colored into gently blended rainbow hues. At first glance her eyes often appear to merely be a medium brown in color, but if you look closely, and in the right light, you can see flecks of gold and green.

Modest bust, narrow shoulders and waist, which flare out into wider hips give her something of a pear-shaped figure, which is further enhanced by the bit of extra weight she carries. Mostly centered between her belly and thighs it adds to the natural curve of her body, including a bigger bottom. Just above that bottom is a fairly fluffy wolf tail which extends about two feet long and is the same auburn as her ears with a slight cream coloring visible on the underside.

Personality

A menace! Or maybe easy-going? Sometimes it can be hard to say. Shy, but once she opens up she will chat at length about just about anything. In fact, it's one of her favorite things. She can be a bit awkward, and put her foot in her mouth because her mouth likes to run faster than her brain. Actually, she shifts around a lot. She was probably kept on a leash as a child.

Despite her occasional shyness and excessive blushing, she is quick to warm to people who engage her with a similar openness. People who approach with an agenda or who act cagey she tends to close herself off and reassess. She is flamboyant, but sincere.

Occasionally she is attention-seeking and will act out an attempt to stand out, either by blurting non-sequiturs, making a poorly thought out joke, or purposefully doing something she is not supposed to(Not like arson, but she will 'end up' in employee areas such as behind counters or occasionally kitchens. Is she trying to get punished? Just stirring up mischief? Generating conversation topics? Probably!)

Sera loves easily and occasionally it causes issues, but she can't help but find herself attracted to those who seem to take a sincere interest in her, or enjoy her company enough to seek her out. In general, she's doesn't mind sharing herself, as long as that's not the only thing that her partner is interested in.

There are deeper levels of fears and insecurities she does her best to, if not hide at least not bring up. If they become relevant and people seem to genuinely want to know she is fairly willing to open up, but they are the aspects of herself that she would rather only share with those few who show a desire to be close. Her preferred method seems to be to suppress those feelings she deems negative or problematic and try and deal with them privately.

History

Sera considers her early life fairly basic and not worth bringing up, but will disclose if it is something people wish to know. The short version is that she was extremely sheltered and was not set on a path to become a well-rounded, functional adult. When the confusion of puberty was mixed in things quickly began to escalate to a boiling point. Then, one day while on a cruise ship in the Pacific she ended up in the ocean and lost consciousness. When she awoke she was on the island. She doesn't volunteer much about her time before Yuriba, but will usually answer questions if asked. She has, on occasion, referred to herself as "an open book. But like one where you have to turn the pages." Basically, if you want to know, ask. It's probably not a secret on purpose.

When she came to Yuriba she was rather aimless and drifted from place to place, often spending her nights in one of the island's inns and then the stage at the Baby Seal. Easily bored and distracted (girl, go get yourself tested for ADHD), she never fully let herself belong in any one place fully. She found herself drifting from place to place, friend to friend, and lover to lover. Then she met Melody.

She and Melody bonded quickly, maybe too quickly, and after getting to know each other for a bit, began dating. This has been her own serious, formal relationship on the island to date. She managed to win her own apartment during her very first Matsuri, and quickly moved in together with Melody. The relationship was fun and loving, but the polyamorous habits proved hard to kick and they never took the time to establish baseline expectations, in particular about monogamy. It eventually became a point of contention in their relationship. That, along with some other drama within their shared friend group lead to Melody's eventual exodus from the island. Sera briefly left as well, but found herself returning with varied frequency.

During one of her longer, previous returns she befriended Rae and the two became close. Rae inspired her to follow her heart and passions and helped her heal from the heartbreak(Also to become semi-frequent nudist, but that was less of a personal revelation). Also somewhat dependent on the weather and local business rules. It was a way for her to develop some confidence and to become more comfortable with her body, and learn to embrace the freedom of expression it provided.

In 2025 she returned in the fall and seems to have returned to live full-time again, and reacquainting herself with old friends. She was uncertain if the choice was to be permanent or not, but seems to be happy with how things have worked out since. Maybe it was one of the few, definitive, positive choices in her life.

Following her return she met a new friend in the werewolf woman, Remmy. The two bonded quickly and started dating. She also reconnected with the demoness, Wenma, and also chose to ask out her friend. Remmy's condition causes frequent extended stays away from the tamed parts of the island, so Sera is excited whenever her girlfriend returns. Wenma is generally more present and the two can be found together if you know where to look.

Wishing for a change of scenery, and with help of a very strong werewolf, she began planning the building of a cabin on the islands many forested areas.

Important People

• Melody: A masked, basilisk woman. Her first, proper girlfriend on the island and a good friend. Despite things not working out they still keep in touch.

• Rae: A good friend who has given her much good advice over the years as she has struggled to find herself. Rae has become a frequent confidant and source of inspiration, and she hopes that their relationship isn't seen as too one-sided, and wants to help Rae at least as much as her friend has helped her.

• Allya: One of the first people Sera can remember encountering on the island. She doesn't always understand the siren woman, but enjoys her company nonetheless. Despite no longer living in The Baby Seal, it is one of the places she is most often found.

• Lily: One of her favorite 'ghosts' on the island. She tries to come up with a different cat-related nickname for her whenever she sees her. Not someone she gets out around with a lot, but it would be difficult to find a better cuddle buddy on a lazy day.

• Remmy: For reasons she cannot discern, she has been obsessed with werewolves. Imagine her surprise when she got to meet a real one! Over time they got close and decided to put a label on their situation, and date officially. They affectionately refer to the other as their 'wife'.

• Wenma: A demoness she has met a few times over the years. As time went on the time spent together started to increase. Taking notice, Sera managed to steel herself and ask out her friend officially. Wenma is someone whose company she enjoys and with whom she can always find something to do.

• Jaye: Another of her favorite 'ghosts' on the island. She has developed a surprising attraction to Jaye, considering her biggest interests are deep talks about personal things and Jaye's biggest interest is being mysterious. She has taken to attempting a variety of tactics and measures in hopes that the red-head will open up to her, but is beginning to think the effort is futile. This growing fear has not diminished her desire to kiss her friend. In lieu of actual information, she has taken to making up wild stories to fill in Jaye's lack of backstory. And by 'making up' she actually means 'divining the hidden lore and it is all definitely true and real as long as it keeps being fun'.

• Charmy: An angel of lazing. Probably not a true angel, but who knows? One of Sera's favorite people to run into, or be run into by, despite their vastly different temperaments. She doesn't know how to approach someone who doesn't seem to do a lot most of the time, especially when her own mind is always racing. She has begun trying to concoct excuses to hang out so she can better understand the woman.

• Katsuko: The local squid girl maid who seemingly works at every establishment in the whole of Yuriba. Sera has found her approachable and easy to get along with and enjoys the company.

• Artel: Co-owner of The Baby Seal and an absolute beast of a tiger woman. Their relationship has varied in intensity and form, but whatever damage was done has been tended to.

• Sielle: Another member of the super secret and exclusive wolfgirl club. I mean... what club? Why would you bring up a club? No, we don't have meetings, and cool hats and jackets. Don't be jealous. It's fine. Don't think about it...

• Lilith: A sweet girl who Sera spent a lot of time in her early years.

• Maebh: Allya's oldest daughter and a friend. Not someone she spent a lot of time with, but she still enjoyed the company when they both happened to be in the same place.

• Nasini: A friend she meant at The Baby Seal. There may not be words quite adequate to describe their relationship, but Sera enjoys the other woman's odd sincerity.

• Tess: A fellow wolf woman who Sera bonded with early and spent time learning and exploring with.

• Hako: A 'friend'? Maybe. It's complicated. Sera finds the girl odd, but fascinating, and has spent hours with her, doing nothing at all.

• Rinne: A newer acquaintance, but this shy girl seems nice. Sera seems to want to try an break her out of her shell a bit, much like what has been done for her over the years.

• Ada: The woman. The myth. The legend? Sera isn't too sure, but she has started to spend a little time with her girlfriend's girlfriend, and is enjoying herself so far.

• Hewgasa: Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrb!!!!

• Lunasa: A sweet, shy deer-girl that Sera has spent many hours with in the woods of Yuriba during her early days.

• Cecily: Not someone she spent a long time around, but she enjoyed their sparse interactions.

• Belladonna: An employee of the Seal. She is nice, even if boobtimidating. That was not a typo. Seriously. Look at her!

• Fujiko: Doesn't know if she would say she has fully, properly met the woman. Not enough to feel comfortable classifying her as anything other than acquaintance, but they have similar friend circles, and so often end up in the same places. She wouldn't mind finding time to getting to know the foxy woman better.

• Gwen: Another odd acquaintance and a woman who has gotten close to Remmy(she should probably check in if they are officially dating, just get your facts straight), but she occasionally enjoys the woman's company.
