Ilunara Anderson-Lunas is a female moon sprite.

Background

A young moon sprite, the daughter of her tribe's high priestess, Ilunara Anderson-Lunas came to Yuriba with original intent to study humans. Since her arrival, she met, became friends with, and then became the mate of the fox Kitsoru. Soon after, she met Kayla Anderson (now Anderson-Lunas), who is now her wife. Because of Kitsoru's possessive nature, there have been problems between Kayla and Kitsoru, especially since Kitsoru's return from her three week absence. She is friendly with Ky Kiske, another of Kitsoru's mates, as well as many of the frequents at Leona's Bar and Girl, where Kayla works as a barmaid.

As of late, Ilunara layed an egg! Roughly the same proportions of an ostritch egg, she took the thing with her everywhere, obsessively defensive of the shell and life within, no one was allowed to touch it without recieving the sharp end of her talons, not even her own wife. For roughly two months her friends endured her borderline psychotic-paranoid protection of the egg (as well as a few clawings).

It was when the egg finally hatched that her overprotective ways only grew stronger. It took weeks of coaxing before Kayla could get the hatchling infant, Kiyoi Tsukikage Anderson-lunas, from Ilunara's arms, and usually not without a glare or a huffy reaction. And then life was good... For a while.

It was the departure of her first lover, Kitsoru that shattered the girl. Deciding to leave Yuriba for the sake of her own family, Kitsoru deconstructed her room within Ilunara's house (horrendously upsetting the balance and causing the treehouse to tip to one side for about a week) and walked out with a teary sylvan begging her not to leave.

Likes and Dislikes

She likes darkness, shade, affection, having her wings petted, occasional solitude. She dislikes bright lights, sudden flashes of light, loud noises, any combination of the above, THE SUN, spiders, and needless violence.

Mannerisms

Although of sylvan origin, Ilunara and her race display more avian mannerisms. Not above suddenly canting her head to a sharp and sometimes even unnatural looking angles, sleeping standing up, staring with one eye, or full on owlish staring, there have been quite a few instances of people being intimidated by her body language as she is so quiet and is known for her unnerving stare. Quite often she can be heard cooing, hooting, clicking, and chirping, and is fluent in avian, though if she can speak with wild birds is unknown

Hobbies

Ilunara enjoys spending countless hours of time preening the immature down of her wings and keeping her feathers clean on an almost obsessive compulsive level. Should any damage, or staining occur she dwells on the marring mark, and has been known to shed tears over wine stains on her left wing. She also owns a small personal library of tomes and books detailing the history of her people and their ways, which she studies tirelessly. Currently she is working on a journal in which she keeps her notes on her interactions with members of other races.

Little Known Facts

Ilunara's bones are hollow, making her very light. Due to this she has a tendency to float about pathetically while at the springs. Her blood is white in color, and glows in darkness. Thusly whenever she blushes, the white glow becomes easily visible upon her cheeks. She has been known to full body blush on more than one occasion.
