Yuanquannyanniichuan

Yuanquannyanniichuan is one of the Jusenkyou Springs, and more specifically, one of the four commonly referred to as the 'Elemental Girls'. This group of four includes Shunyanniichuan, Yannyanniichuan, and Kongqinyanniichuan as well. Yuanquannyanniichuan is the Spring of Drowned Naiad, or Spring of Drowned Water Elemental. It can be presumed in this case that the drowning had far more to do with the definition involving immersion than that one that leads to death. The spring grants those who bathe in it fairly subtle changes, such as a difference in eye, skin, or hair color, slight webbing between digits, and occassionally, eternally wet hair.

Folklore

This spring is likely connected to Issui, the Yuriban goddess of water.
