Chikyuu's Heart

Hidden somewhere within Engetsu-san, Chikyuu's Heart is an ancient temple to Chikyuu, the goddess of stone and crafting, although it has small annexes dedicated to Engetsu and Akibimi. Believed to date back to the Lilian Era, the temple's hidden location has preserved it in excellent shape. In recent years, it was once the center of a controversy over whether the offerings were abandoned or still dedicated, but for many years since, the fae Soled cared for the temple until she was murdered in the months leading up to the Eruption of 2012. While the shrine has no formal caretaker today, it is visited by many locals and priestesses who have learned the secret to accessing it.

The temple itself consists of an antechamber where visitors can wash their hands before entering the temple, complete with ancient murals decorating the walls. The main temple area is roughly triangular in shape, with the 'narrow' point lying where the chamber is entered and a large statue of Chikyuu placed at the center of the opposite end. Branches from the other two corners lead to the annexes.
