Neiko Hamaya is a small, shy cat-girl with orange, black-striped ears and tail, deep blue eyes, and long, black hair, which she takes very good care of. She stands at only 5 feet tall, and doesn't weigh much because of her small form. She was born as a typical human, but during her stay in Yuriba a friend of hers acquired a bottle of Maonyanniichuan water, and knowing Neiko's love of cats, poured it over Neiko as a gift, turning her into her present form. She is very rarely seen in her human form nowadays, gotten more used to being a catgirl over the years.
She tries her best to be polite and friendly with people, and while still quite shy, is not as timid as she used to be. She can still get embarrassed easily or can grow nervous around a crowd of people she doesn't know.
Yuriba
Neiko has lived in Yuriba since December 2004. Yet due to her shyness, she has never became a vocal individual. Even so, she has made plenty of friends, having met numerous nice people while wandering around in town or hiking in the forests. She enjoys taking walks in Yuriba Park and the Sakura Retreat, enjoying the tranquility and natural beauty of the areas. In town, she often visits the Yuriba Free Library, the peaceful place being a great spot to relax, and find interesting reading material in addition to now being a place of work for her, as in March 2013 she began working as an assistant librarian at the Library. She also likes to visit The Baby Seal and The Dragon’s Brew.
She owns her own home on East Cherry Lane, placed reasonably close to Yuriba Park, in a relatively calm spot of the Yuriban forest. She takes great pride in her house and the garden around it, and can often be caught cleaning inside or tending to the foliage outdoors, gardening being a hobby of hers along with cooking different kinds of foods. She also has a pet, a small, white-furred cat named Niyo.
