Physical Description

Sinice is a petite woman of about 4'10" with ebony skin; red, almond, eyes; and chiseled cheekbones. The white hair tucked behind her ears is long and thick, ending at her waist. She generally seems calm and confident, smirking mischievously occasionally. Her skin is normally completely matte, but now her chin and forehead are just slightly shiny due to her recent change in diet. She horribly proud of the weight she is gaining around her midsection and thighs due to her pregnancy.

In her cursed form, Sinice appears to be slightly taller with the addition of ghostly draconic wings, frills, scales, and a tail. Her skin and hair turn pure black, making her look like a living shadow. Indeed, there are many similarities between the from granted by Sinice’s curse and that granted by the Anyingnyanniichuan spring, though the drow claims never to have visited it.

Style

The drow’s style has changed drastically since her arrival on Yuriba. For months she was seen only in her armor, but now wears ‘normal’ clothing. She favors the colors black, violet, and red; the darker, the better. Reflecting her upbringing, she dresses practically first, fashionably later (though she will never pass up something that is both.) Most of her clothing is found in her wife’s hoard, so her exact style varies from week to week, but she seems particularly fond of leather and fur (real or faux.) Sinice has also abandoned her headband bearing Lolth’s image, partly because her turning away from many of the goddess’ teaching and partly because her horns serve the same purpose as the silver headband once did.

Personality

Sinice's personality has undergone significant changes since her arrival on Yuriba. Her once flirty, playful disposition has evolved into something more fitting of a mother of two. She is now a fierce defender of the ways of the island that once seemed strange to her, rivaling the ferocity that she exhibits in defense of her biological daughter, Sin'ithra, and adopted daughter, Rose. There are a few islanders who can still see her flirtatious side, but most of the island now sees her as the reserved protector of her brood of dragon children.

History

As with many drow, Sinice’s history is often murky and filled with just as many facts as fictional accounts. Separating the truth from the lies can be difficult for even those rare women who have managed to get close to the elf.

The Underdark

Sinice has claimed to both be born into the noble House of Eilservs and to be born as a commoner and adopted later. Which ever is the case, as a drow, her life was difficult from birth. Indoctrinated by the vile teachings of Lolth, Sinice grew up in a violent and unforgiving society. Perfection was prized above all else; mistakes would often mean death.

One of those drow children lucky and clever enough to survive into a adulthood, Sinice joined the Church of Lolth under pressure from her mother. She served under her older sister, also a priestess, until her sister’s death, almost a full century after taking Sinice on as an apprentice. It was during this period of her life that Sinice gave birth to her first daughter, a half-demon named Guass. Sinice speaks little of her daughter, though it is plain to those who have heard her stories about her that their relationship was hostile, as is expected in drow culture. Soon after becoming a priestess in her own right, found ideological differences between her and the elder priestesses and joined the Eyes of Lolth, the demon queen’s secret police, and left Guass in the care of the priestesses. In the eyes of the drow this was a demotion of sorts, but Sinice is adamant that this is the action that Lolth wanted her to take.

As one of the Spider Queen’s spies, Sinice held many varied ‘jobs’ in Erelhai-Cinlu ranging from a lowly performer in the arts district of the city to high ranking leader in Sinice speaks of this period of her life the most frequently, and seems to prize her time as a hired-arm of the clergy greatly. Sinice rose through the ranks of the organization quickly, becoming on of it’s most powerful members, which protected her during House Eilservs decline after failing to protect Lolth’s Fane, the seat of her power on Oerth, from outside forces.

As is always the case in the life of a drow, Sinice’s comfort was short lived. Lolth fell silent and the Priestess Wars began. The voice of Lolth being the only thing that held the chaotic society of the drow together, Sinice’s world started to fall apart at the seams. Lost and confused, she fled from her homelands, but she took her sojourn a bit further than other drow with similar plans; she did not just flee the Underdark, she fled Oerth, heading to the city of Sigil and searching for some reason for her goddess’ absence.

Sigil and the Planes

Sinice’s time in Sigil, and her time as a planewalking adventurer, is the murkiest period of her life. She joined the Society of Sensation and found a group of adventurers and joined them on their travels, serving as a hired sword and keeping her true motives for being in Sigil to herself. One night, she abandoned her companions, having found a portal se believe to take her to Lolth’s domain. If she was ultimately successful in her quest is not generally known. However, it is certain that the portal she found is the one that lead her to Yuriba, in some way.

Arrival on Yuriba

Sinice arrived on Yuriba in the fall of 2007, still wearing the armor she had grown accustomed to during her rough life in the Underdark and planehopping. Shocked at the positive reaction she receive from most residents, the Drow started to settle down and make the island her home. It wasn't long until she met Lillian and the two became involved in a whirl-wind romance, with the human girl serving as her tutor to the ways of the island.

Distraught over the loss of her favor in Lolth's eyes, Sinice started to look into the deities of the island, eventually settling on Inishie as the most suitable replacement for her former blood hungry goddess. She spent weeks researching the volcano and the Lilian Civilization, forming her own conclusions about why the society did not survive. However, she remember one thing: goddesses that lust for the blood of their own followers, do not allow their priestesses to love. Soon, Sinice abandoned any idea of further worship of diabolical deities.

It was about this time that the Drow had a chance meeting in the park with a dragon named Onyxia. The dragon queen took Sinice under her wing (quite literally as well as figuratively) and trained the Drow in the ways of the Blackflight. This strained Sinice and Lillian's relationship, the human seeing this as Sinice returning to the old ways she had worked so hard to abandon, but Sinice remained with the dragon, eventually wanting to be more than just the dragon's loyal follower. She rose from servant, to girlfriend, to mate, eventually to wife a few months after meeting Onyxia. They made a home outside the boundaries of Yuriba, eventually being forced to move closer to the island after gaining the attention of some of Sinice's old alliances.

Recent Events

Sinice has recently given birth to Sin'ithra, half-sister to Rose, and is starting to come out of her volcanic home more often as the weather warms up enough to a more suitable temperature for an infant half-dragon. Having her hands full with a car-sized toddler and a newborn, Sinice has put her search for a suitable religion on hold.
