Nagisa Vendaris, a recent fixture on the island of Yuriba, available to just about anyone as a friendly shoulder to lean on. She arrived on the island in July of 2004, originally planning to simply take a vacation from her normal life, and get some rest. However, in her time here, she has learned many things, and become more than she ever thought she would be.

Biography
Nagisa was once a resident of mainland Japan, where she grew up in a suburb of a sizable city. She grew up, had friends, and everything that a normal girl has. Well, not exactly. Her destiny was quite unique. During her sixteenth year of life, the Earth came under attack by an alien race named the C'thuwulf. They were a star-faring race that had lost their home world, and were searching for a new one. Their master computer, Big Gold, decided Earth would do fine as that new home. The C'thuwulf began to systematically eradicate all human life on the planet to make way for their all-female race.
However, a living weapon, named Iczer-1, was aware of these plans, and strived to stop them. Due to a unique genetic quirk, Nagisa was the only one who could 'synchronize' with Iczer-1. Big Gold also knew this, and it's first attacks against Nagisa came soon after they arrived on Earth. Her parents and friends fell victim to the invaders. Together, albeit a bit unwillingly on Nagisa's part, Iczer-1 and Nagisa eventually reached the mothership, and confronted Big Gold. During the fight, Nagisa was wounded. Knowing she wouldn't survive, she asked Iczer-1 to end her life, and in so doing, the two became one entity, and smashed Big Gold to pieces. Using the awesome powers she now possessed, Iczer-1 rolled time backwards, erasing Big Gold and the attack against Earth from history. Nagisa returned to her life, unaware of any of these events.
Several years later, the mental blocks the reversal of time had put in place began to crumble, and Nagisa met with Iczer-1 again, and they began to work with the C'thuwulf to integrate them into Earth society. After a few years of this, Nagisa decided that she was due some rest and relaxation. Perusing the travel brochures, she learned of Yuriba, and made her way to the island.
Current Events
On arrival to the island, she began to make many new friends, but one truly stood out to her. One of the people she met her first day on the island, Lynn Vendaris, eventually became something more. The two had a rather rough ride at first, but after a few months of courtship, they realized they were in love, and planned to tie the knot. They were eventually married in January of 2005, in a unique dual ceremony. The first was open to the public, and presided over by Rianna. The second was an Invitation-Only event, and was presided over by the head of the Church of Hentai, Dark Ayanami.
Nagisa gave birth to her first daughter, a delightful little baby girl that she and her wife named "Ninorian", in honor of a friend Lynn once knew. The girl was pronounced healthy at the birth, and left the clinic only two days after the birth.
Having had several long discussions with her wife about several things, least of all the new addition to their family, the couple reached a decision that had been a long time in coming. Their residence, the massive, sprawling complex that was known as the Beach House, had outlived it's intended purpose, and served only to remind the couple of friends who had gone on with their life and were no longer around. Thus, the decision was reached; the couple had the building dismantled and have constructed a new home and a new business. Lynn reopened her forge on the southern side of Akibimi-san, and the couple built a new home above the forge. They have happily settled into their life there, and welcome all visitors with a smile.
She has also begun to immerse herself in the study of the local culture and customs, deciding that since Yuriba was now her home, she should know as much as she could about it, and those who hold the important roles in the social scheme of things. She has also begun to explore a previously unknown gift she possesses, an affinity for arcane magics, which she practices with her own flare (or did, until her pregnancy placed her lessons on hold). Since giving birth to her daughter Ninorian, she has begun her studies again, slowly learning to harness the power of magic once more, and finding that her former control needs a bit of shoring up these days.
Employment
Nagisa was once an employee of the Relaxation Emporium, but after a falling out between herself and Rianna, that employment was terminated. She is currently employed, the term only loosely used, in managing the Cacao Heaven, a chocolate shop she and Lynn have constructed, located on Tiger Lily Road, across the street from the Leona's Bar and Girl, where the two first met, one block west, and two south of the Village Center. Loosely, because while she takes care of the administrative end, her assistant Chrysta, a chocolate faerie, takes care of day-to-day operations in the shop, including overseeing the Chocopool.
Jusenkyou
Thanks to the magic of the Jusenkyou Springs, specifically Tianshiniichuan, she gained the physical form of an angel. The first few months after she received this blessing, she could be seen in either human or angel form. But over time, she discovered she felt more comfortable as an angel, and so she has remained in that form ever since, loathe to return to her normal human form.
As of some time in early 2007, Nagisa's form has changed yet again. After knowledge of her role as a Sentry started to become better known around the island, Nagisa's blessing has shifted to bring her closer to her defined role. Instead of the blessing of Tianshiniichuan, she now carries the gift of Kongqinyannichuan.
Sentry
Nagisa has been honored by the goddess Amanohara by being selected as the Sentry of the skies. She wears the symbol of her position, a white jade pendant, almost all the time.
Relationships
- breisleach - A playful and somewhat infuriating kitsune, who seems to enjoy having a laugh at Nagisa's expense, and talking in riddles, which she claims convey far more information then they appear to at first glance. Recently, she and Nagisa have been engaged in a friendly battle of wits, with Nagisa seeking to learn from the enigmatic kitsune.
- Atara - A dragoness and powerful worker of arcane magics, she had vanished, recently returned to the island for a time, and then has seemingly vanished again.
- Genesis Magite - The enigmatic and mysterious doctor of the island, who was recently turned into a child by her adopted niece Kula. Nagisa has begun assisting Genesis into her investigations into solving a problem related to her former life.
- Merin - A faerie who Nagisa has grown close to, and who has served as both a source of wisdom and a teacher in the arcane arts. When she can be caught awake, that is.
- Rae - An early friend of Nagisa, who happened to arrive on the island later the same day that Nagisa herself did. The two had a mutual attraction, but both were otherwise involved. Their friendship came crashing down after Nagisa hit a low point in her life while Lynn was away from the island on business, and she made several mistakes of judgment around the timid girl. She has recently made up with Rae, wishing to renew the friendship they once shared. She once owned three paintings that the young artist executed, of her and her wife, but they were given away by the couple when the Beach House was razed, as they were memories of a different time. After a time of unease between the two, they agreed to formally set aside their past disagreements, and be, if not friends, than at least no longer indifferent to the presence of each other.
- Morwen - A recluse who Nagisa met during her time on the island, and she eventually was asked to preside over Morwen's wedding to her love, Beatrice. In the past few months, she has rarely seen or heard from Morwen, save to congratulate her on finding another wife after the abrupt disappearance of Beatrice.
- Dark Ayanami - The reclusive head of the Church of Hentai, who Nagisa maintains a friendship with, even if she is no longer active in the Church.
- Jassi - A catgirl, wife of Asoko, who runs a hotel on the island. A friend of Lynn's, she is looked upon as a good, sturdy friend by Nagisa.
- Lumi - A serpent spirit she met and befriended shortly after Lumi's arrival. She was greatly saddened when Lumi vanished without a trace some months ago. She was very happy to see her friend return recently, for reasons she chooses not to share with many.
- Leona McAllistre - Owner of the bar where she first met Lynn, and a good friend who is always willing to sit and share a meal or a drink. She has trusted Nagisa with keeping watch over the Bar and Girl when Leona herself is not around.
- Starlight Glimmer - A visitor from another world who wound up becoming a human, and someone who is trying her hardest to overcome a troubled past. Starlight, for all her initial reluctance to open up to anyone given her past actions, has become quite close with Nagisa since their first meeting.
